God this made me remember Heavens Feel. Such a shitty ending to such a good series. UBW was sooo much better. I didn't really like Sakura going into that route, just something about her rubbed me the wrong way, but I was fully prepared to like her. Then I just grew to hate her and how her route made everyone around her act like fucking retards. The only saving grace was Rider, and the last day had some awesome fights. Plus the "Mind Of Steel" bad end was epic. I'd love to see that fully played out.

Oh and the doujin was well drawn and stuff.

@YGG To be fair except for Gil none of the servants stand a chance against Berserker one on one and Berserker doesn't stand a chance against Gil at all. True Assassin just sucked except when he was double teaming people with Sakura. Even then he was pretty lame. He basically had Lancer's NP except worse and he had much worse physical abilities than any other servant.

You know just as well as I do though that Shirou wouldn't have waited though. The kid doesn't have much of a sense of self preservation.

A full developed "Mind of Steel" ending would be the epitome of the anticlimatic. Just Shirou (which in that point of the story is servant-less and barely capable to use reinforcement) waiting for all the 3 remaining players to kill each other (and let's be serious, True Assassin has no chance against Archer or Berserker, so...), and than backstabbing the surviving Master. What a great show.

@Oneof8000men Shirou hadn't a sense of self preservation BEFORE, because he he was devoted to "save everyone". But both the choices ("Save Sakura" -save you important people sacrifying others- AND "Be a superhero" -save many sacrifyng fews-) are impling that he gave up that idea. So no, I think MoS Shirou would just wait and than use some underhanded and very plain tactics. Not for self preservation, just for convenience. MoS Shirou is Kiritsugu 2.0, after all.

Actually I kinda liked Heavens Feel, though the resolution did leave something to be desired. It just felt like they built up to a lot of tension and the ideal that nothing is ever going to be okay again then... glazed over details to give you an optimal ending. It just felt out of place and didn't really fit the pacing of the story up to that point. However the storyline in general appealed to me. Like Unlimited Blade Works, the story was almost entirely "Shit gets worse". The difference however is Unlimited Blade Works was "Shit gets worse even though you do everything in the best possible way". Heaven's Feel was "Shit gets worse because you purposefully choose to make it worse". Though I did kind of get annoyed during Heaven's Feel that everyone was bitching about Shirou destroying himself for not doing things for his own desires... and the other two storylines they are bitching because Shirou never does anything for himself, at all. -_- Come on! Damned by your friends if you do, damned by your friends if you don't.

Do love seeing all the Sakura Stuff getting translated and what this Trip Spider is doing. Good stuff all around.

Well, everyone can have their opinion, but Heaven's Feel wasn't bad nor had shitty ends, quite the opposite.

The heroes didn't do bad decisions, they just hadn't enough or good information and even if they did, it was just because of their character flaws. The only thing going is that poor comunication kills.

If Rin just said "I love you" to Sakura, almost everything would be solved, kinda. But that's okay, it's Rin's flaw, she has difficult solving a problem that puts her in the spotlight, also she screws the most important part in the most critical time.

Sakura also made everything more difficult, because she isn't as brave or strong willed as Rin or Saber, but that's okay, it's just her flaw and I like her for that.

Shirou also made some mistakes, like trying to not seeing the things happening around him. He already suspected who the Shadow was, but didn't investigate further. He also did other small mistakes that summed in big problems.

All in all, Heaven's Feel is the route in which everyone's flaws come crystal clear and bite their butts, so I understand why some don't like it, but I love exactly for that.

An alright doujin, but it make it seem like Sakura actually knew what went on even though she actually didn't.

That is the problem with most story-oriented Sakura doujins. They only look upon one part of the character's personality to fit the framework of the established plotline. People really do not satisfactorily show how frightening the Shadow was for Sakura. They fail to see her good points and her struggle because they just want darkness and drama.

That is something that needs to change, or we'll never see interesting stories for her because it is mired in the same formula.
