This is his older work (The End of Sexual Instinct and the Hydrogen Bomb War), whereas Dowman's work after that (Nicklodeon, Oddman 11, Voynich, ...) is, at least in my opinion, significantly better.
Also generally longer.

I thought the ending was as sweet as it was sad. It was very poignant how the demon died with a compliment on his lips, which in turn was accepted by the grand-daughter demon-hunter.
