I love the art of Serpieri! I was exposed to him through Heavy Metal decades ago. Him, Manara, and Royo got me hooked on great art (of the racy sort). Yes these are copy/pasta, but with an attempt to add, not just steal. But how many have badly imitated, abused, and outright plagiarized Munch's 'The Scream', or outright raped Da Vinci's Mona Lisa to look like Vin Diesel?
If these were a 52 card deck, I would have likely printed them out on card stock and be playing strip poker with my wife the same night.
Yes, it's heavily "borrowed" but there is a modicum attempt to add value. That's why there's a handful now rotating on my screen saver.
