It doesn't need to be so high-resolution and please try to keep the page-proportions more consistent; all the pages should have roughly the same width / height proportions if you're scanning it correctly.

Recently-ish, Ando Hiroyuki has had an amusing trend of "pseudo-doujinshi," where he borrows "character designs" of girls of different series, like Fairy Tail, which you pointed out.

My favorite is his Macross Frontier not-Sheryl chapter (and of whom I believe is on the color end-cover).

You just need to make the width size at most 1400 or 1600px (so we have something around 2000-2300vertical res). Nothing more is needed.

Your quality is nice, just need the resolution/size fix.
