I don't believe that either "funny happy" or much less "mind shatteringly depressing" aptly describe any of studio retake's works. Perhaps you are confusing the Re Take series of Studio Kimigabuchi with the works of Studio Retake. The main attraction of Studio Retake for me, and I think others, is the beautiful drawing and not the stories.
