Momoyama Jirou was the first manga artist who specialized in bondage that caught my attention.

His art was the first thing that attracted me, especially his depictions of ropework. I also loved his stories, particularly the imaginative situations his heroines would end up in, and the fact that even his occasional "downer" endings were not too depressing.
