Torture art is the one thing I'll never understand. Like, I understand power fetishes, but torture goes too far for my thoughts. Real power doesn't involve hurting the victim, stabbing, chaining them up (though that can be fun when you break them to consenting to it), putting them in essential death traps, is just leaning on something else to pose the threat. I guess it just feels like the opposite of a power fantasy. Instead of proving how much power you have, you prove how little you have by relying on tricks and traps.
