Marvel Editor-in-Chief Axel Alonso, who said that Manara's covers were canceled because of "a scheduling problem" rather than anything related to the Spider-Woman controversy. Alonso confirmed that Manara will be illustrating more covers for Marvel in the future

As a femenist, I can tell you the internet did not have a shitstorm over the spidey cover because of any objectivity to women. In fact as far as comics go that is quite tame. Heck, I like guro. It's porn. It's not meant to be a gateway into the real world.

We had a shitstorm because her body is contorted in such a way to be impossible for any human to move like that. Her head is either detached from her head, or she's tilting it like 80 degrees and therefore her neck should be broken. Her leg is missing...or somehow half of it is clipping through the edge of the building. And her arm is either has a super short bicep, or her elbow is broken. And the coloring looks like colored pencils and her hair looks more like spaghetti.

And let's not forget those background buildings which all rise at a different angle. No seriously, look at the buildings. That one on the left is not going to the same vanishing points as the others. The perspective is way off.
