I can understand wanting to make a point, or tell a story, but when you ignore half the things about the source material stories like this kind of loses their values.

-Then again, I always think most stories that involve death in Gensokyo would end up with anyone being dead coming back as a ghost and fairly trivially resurrected, so there's that.

I think fairies only resurrect so long as nature, and more specifically the aspect of nature they represent, is healthy or intact, so in this blasted warscape it makes sense that Cirno didn't resurrect, as nature seems pretty badly damaged.

I see a lot of people bringing up the source material and talking about how stories like these dont really make a lot of sense because of it. Though as someone who never got invested into Touhou I think I benefit more from having loose knowledge of the series. Though I dont really care if stories like these contradict lore anyhow, their just fun
