You know, rather than going through the trouble of redrawing the textures in the speech bubbles, you can just level the images. Then you'd just have to fill the bubbles with white. And coincidentally, it would also make the art look better.

cleaning text outside of the bubble usually involves a redraw which i avoid whenever possible for 2 reasons
1) it's hard
2) I suck at it
