if anything, vgcats definitely follows the penny arcade formula of using games and game mechanics to convey a message, be it an observation or a means to deliver a short plot. that said, I've definitely enjoyed watching the evolution of art from when it first started to now. damn shame he doesn't update regularly, I distinctly recall there being a year where he only updated... twice? three times?
