Well, it's pretty clear that the random dude is going to be up to no good on the follow-up story, so, it was kind of necessary to establish him, and how he was able to pull of the theft of the relic, before hand. I know most of us are here for pron, but Bonk is trying to tell stories, too. (pretty good ones, in my opinion. Can't wait for the follow up!)
