This is a(n initial) scan of Knight Flags, found on Archive Scans. The art is still lovely, however.

It's almost funny how one is able to manifest fantastic armour and clothes designs, yet be completely rubbish at drawing human faces.

Nah that's not rubbish, Its actually on purpose to show off the characters clothes design. Nagano was taught as a clothes designer, and usually they draw the faces generically as possible.

Also you have to understand this is the mid-80s and the style is really different what we have now (ie:Moe).
