He needs no glasses, he's right. That's just not Tomoya, even if maybe the author thinks you're stupid enough to think otherwise (she even calls him 不倫理-くん. In the show she called him 倫理君, "Ethical-kun", 不 makes it into "unethical/immoral"). It's no different than when they teleport a porcus erectus and call him Seiya Kanie.
