I think the gay line was more "I agreed to this match because they said you weren't going to try and feel me up, being homosexual" sort of deal - ie, she's pissed that she was lied to.
The writing is short because it was commission, and 8 pages was all that the commissioner paid for. We're talking about a perhaps longer, meatier sequel, but it is just talks at this point. If you want more story, hassle him about it.
The writing is "awkward" because it is a fetish comic. Any story is just decor, a delivery system for the eye candy. The commissioner and I decided what would happen on each page, and I improvised a little dialog to tie them all together, Really, I would have left out all of the grunting because I felt it was clutter, but it was specifically requested. You really ought to be thankful you got what story that you did get.
The "gay" line is because the commissioner, represented by the rat in the pink trunks, actually is gay...mostly. It's really an inside joke for the customer, his friends, and his fans, and they all appreciated it.
The dragon is called Manticore because I thought the name was cool when I first invented the character seven years ago as. As the character evolved, the ring name stuck because I couldn't think of a better one, though I have invented backstory as to why the name would have personal significance to the character, and really, isn't that the kind of thing that makes you want to know more?
