This doujin is loaded with references to retro games by channeling stuff like Japan's equivalents of Captain N and Nester, game magazine parodies, and even a little bit of GameCenter CX. The first might be the most obscure subject Touhou has crossed over with, soon to be forgotten by the world. Japan's made gaming ephemera you people wouldn't believe. All that media will be lost in time, like spooge in Ran.
