This reminds me a lot of the J-horror movie Splatter: Naked Blood, In that movie women get off on body mutilation due to some kind of experimental drug.

I'm guessing this games plot is a homage to that.

I always wonder what the commissioned artist must be thinking when they get told what they're drawing in a game like this.

"See, there's this girl. Then she chops her hand off and uses it as a dildo."

The title roughly means "Cutting the Lizard's Tail." As you know, some lizards can cut off and regrow their tails to evade predators. So being based on that theme, the story of this game must obviously be about tax evasion.

That or someone special to the main character was splattered in a train accident and he gains an unhealthy obsession with researching regeneration to bring her back, even though there is no way to apply it to the girl and his mind is slipping refusing to accept everything is too late no matter what he tries. So it ends with him chasing a phantom to die on the same train tracks.

But I'm still thinking the tax evasion thing. Because lizards cut their tails for the evasion. That's got to be what it points to.
