Holy fuck. Learn to goddamn wait and get back home when you actually have access to a scanner. Don't waste the site's bandwidth putting up a half-assed upload taken with a phone camera.

Edit: So you don't have a scanner? If you can afford to go to Japan for Comiket, there's no reason why you couldn't spend an extra $100-150 for a scanner.

Phone uploads are perfectly fine, it does mean however that they are very likely to be replaced by a superior version. But if it is a choice between a bad scan or no scan, then clearly bad scan wins out. Nobody gets to tell someone else what they should be spending their money on, whether they have the money or not is moot.

@Zakuzelo, I didn't say they'll get replaced, I said it is likely, basically it makes it easier to replace with a better version. It was a heads up to the uploader that a poor scan makes it more likely as pretty much any other version of this gallery that gets uploaded will be deemed superior. my point still stands, a bad quality version is better than no version.

@Zakuzelo: Not only that, but it's entirely possible that if a title already has a scan (irrespective of quality), then it may deter other people who might've been trying to put up a proper upload for the same title. In other words, if someone was trying to make a proper scan of this doujin and he noticed that dkdidldidh already "scanned" it, he might just give up uploading it altogether if he doesn't notice that this was a shitty scan.

Look at the thumnail for the first page and compare it to the rest: If an uploader wants to put up this title and he's quickly looking through the list of galleries to ensure he isn't going to put up a duplicate, would he be able to tell that this was a shitty cellphone upload from a glance? The answer is no.

@Mrsuperhappy: Bad scan vs no scan? I'll take the "no scan", please. That way, someone who actually wants to put up a quality upload of this title won't get the impression that he might be putting up a duplicate, and he'll rightfully earn the GP for his effort.

Please help rename this gallery so that it has "(phone pictures)" on the name, that way it won't deter anyone trying to upload a real scan--I've already started the rename petition. This shit should be expunge-worthy garbage, man.

@grgspunk 'phone pictures' will not be added to the title, even if you somehow succeed in pushing it through it will likely simply be changed back as that is not a legitimate naming convention, also there is no such thing as expunge-worthy garbage unless it is something which has no place on this site like pictures of sports cars or something. Things are only expunged for a handful of reasons and none of them are because you don't like the quality. If I had something to upload I would check what was currently uploaded to see if mine was superior, I won't be the only one who would.

look at the expunge tracker, things get replaced all the time by better versions by people who have seen an existing version and know theirs is better, then you have the hundreds of duplicates that get uploaded where someone has uploaded something without checking if it is already there, so no, I don;t see how this will stop a different/better version coming along.
