Tofu tricking Ranma to have sex with him as revenge for having sex with Kasumi was an idea that "St Fan" (the owner of the Ranma Lemon Archive) came up with some 10+ years ago. He is a french guy himself, so maybe he commissioned this work?

I'm not sure whether the author of this actually likes Ranma 1/2 very much. Most of the characters are miserable or worse (e.g., Akane being raped by Principal Kuno) throughout the comic. Even Ranma and Akane getting together was bittersweet at best. Though I was definitely amused by Akane telling him that she broke her hymen with a vegetable a long time ago. She almost seems to be bragging about it, which is kind of hilarious. And they did go to the effort of listing all the manga volumes, anime episodes and even the live-action special... So maybe they do like it but just also like to see the characters unhappy or something?

When you get right down to it, all of the Ranma 1/2 characters are entirely self-serving--especially at the expense of others. We already know that they're all capable of cheating each other and stealing from one another, and generally screwing people over in the pursuit of their respective interests. The manga itself has never had to actually DEAL with the issue of rape and adultery. Supposing however--from a narrative standpoint--you were to introduce the very concept to the Ranma universe, it would only be logical to treat it more irreverently than one would expect in any other setting or scenario.

Passage was always a strange author, i remember reading his Zelda comic in French and yeah, he like to really change the character personality but still not enough for them to be totally out of character.

It's so subtle and the stories so "grounded" i always though what he did was kinda uncanny...
