1st the author wanted to create something like this,the topic is set

Considering what they could've done to her instead, she got off pretty easy, and I'm not even talking about the more psychotic shit.

They could've forced her to give birth to compensate for every soldier she killed. They could've used her as a living punching bag or piñata. They could've used her for target practice while she was still alive. They could've done all this and more, all while keeping her alive through sorcery. Hell, if they really wanted her to suffer like her soldiers did, they could've burned her alive instead of hanging her. Being burned alive is literally one of the most painful ways to die.
