Ishmon => They become spirit the second they become mother from the dryad i think... Or maybe it's the months of being feed by the dryad which turned them like that little by little.

Which would be depressing if those two girls weren't already prepared to be killed. No family seemed to prevent them from that fate. So for this particular case, it's a quite good ending.

@chibikami I was kinda wondering about that myself when I was translating the line, but it looks like sodomy was the term the author wanted to use. A quick check on wikipedia says "Sodomy (/ˈsɒdəmi/) is generally anal or oral sex between people or sexual activity between a person and a non-human animal (bestiality), but may also mean any non-procreative sexual activity" so I guess maybe the church in the region was one of those religions where sex is solely for the purpose of procreation, no fun allowed, etc etc, hence why the girls would be looked down upon for doing girl on girl.

Nah, the story plot the author use probably around middle ages where the church have more authority and powerful and they have the rights with their inquisitor to torture/kill those deemed as heretic, involved in sorcery/witch, etc and, in this story, homosexual/sodomy woman deemed as witch.
