That's not anthromorphic. That is Neko, which is not a form of morph. It is just a human with animal ears because Asians seem to think it's cute. This artist needs to get his terms straight.
Anthropomorphic personification is a literary term that refers to representing something that's not a person as a person. It's true that the characters were already anthropomorphized, but that doesn't mean that this isn't. There's a range and this is part of it. You prioritizing the sex related definition(?) doesn't mean that the literary definition is wrong. In fact, the term is still applicable even if the anthropomorphized being appears completely human as long as it is a representation of something that wasn't.
