All things considered, its pretty good.

That said, parts of it are awful. The story hinges very heavily on the audience having already read/watched the original (I haven't read the manga in over a year. You could replace the entire cast with cardboard boxes and it wouldn't make a difference to me.) and the ending is a piece of shit on top of a fantastic cake (a zombie rat escapes? Seriously? Did we REALLY need that?).

I guess the point is this author didn't like the carefree nature of the original work and decided to give it an ending closer to its inspirations. Like for example, Night of the Living Dead or Dawn of the Dead.

Apparently the author thought that the bitter sweet ending to an already sad story needed a rewrite with a bit more intestines?

I sadly agree with some of the other readers in saying that this doujin was pointless and not an alternative ending that many would have desired after reading or watching the source material. It also necessitates that the reader knows the source material in order to appreciate a large part of the story. That said the art is good.

There is no sex or even suggested intimacy in this doujin.
