I'm not quite sure what the author is implying at the end of this chapter. The text is basically words echoing in the MC's head from whatever power manages the hole. It says "Someone else might take over your body next time." And we see the hole is no longer in the storage room.

I think the intention is his body disappeared with the hole. He gets to be that girl for now, but wherever the hole opens next, he may be possessed in kind and eventually "overwritten" just like that girl was.
