Seems like you're correct. It seems Jin(mtsp) caught Covid19 in August 2020 while visiting the Philippines and died from it.
There's a possibility that this is false and he just can't publish due to comiket being closed during Covid. I hope so. I can't really verify it anywhere.

Jin was also in an earthquake some years ago and it destroyed his home and his computer. This set him back a lot. He did start up again though. The earthquake was in April 2016.

He hasn't had it easy. He made some solid works.
