The latest Real-ESRGAN image restoration model was used to upscale (4.0x, as the model was trained for) and restore (denoise, remove JPEG artifacts) the images.

All uploaded pics were then compressed using the WebP image format.

@atasitian There were over 8300 galleries of trash made by uploader “cgc”, with added “low quality” watermark right in the middle of extremely low-res pics, and nobody bet an eye on that, now you're saying people can't upload their higher quality AI restored pictures that brings viewer nothing but joy? That's the definition of hypocrite, get lost.
