The Elf Attack Was rather rushed, but given how long this whole thing is i can't really complain.

i enjoy this series a lot but i would have preferred, story wise, if the elf couldn't be magically fully healed and go back to normal. aside from kinda cheapening all of the effort they went through on her recovery, the fact that she recovered not through convenient fantasy healing magic but through specific and SLOW medical practice communicates the idea of overcoming trauma and/or your past through steady, deliberate work, not just via an singular magical solution. her physical recovery paralleling her mental and emotional recovery was one of the strongest parts of the series. you can't just erase the past; the things you've experienced and the things you've done can't be unmade. her scars are a great metaphor for that. but you can still move forward from it. i loved the part where she got prosthetics and was able to move freely again. using a magical reset button to instantly get the same result ruins that theme, imo.

@masakatsu I believe the author said they wanted to move onto other projects. Remember, this was a very long-running webseries, so the fact that they stuck it out to a satisfying end, rather than ending it prematurely due to burn out, is commendable to its own degree.

The ending was definitely rushed. But on the other hand, she never would have gotten back to her village without Mr. Apothecary's help. Not only in the initial acute survival phase, but also considering that it took over four days of flying travel to get to a town even near her original village where someone was looking for her. So even the magic reset button is kind of like the RPG reward for a lot of hard work.

The initial concept here was pretty simple; it would have been easy to let it peter off. I'm grateful to Gibachan for finishing it here.

...I have absolutely zero intention of reading the prequel, though.

@JosephuJoestar03 The Hi-Potion was foreshadowed/referenced rather early on, so it was likely in the plan. The downside of shortened lifespan is kinda a silver lining for her too, being able to live her entire life with the one she loves, and not having to suffer the trope of extensive lifespan/immortality. Plus, the Hi-Potion also restored her "female parts" as Adamska referred to them, without needing some risky operation, and she was blessed with being able to have children.
