I feel like Steely saw CoffeeSlice's Samus maternity strip and decided to do something very, very similar in his own style. I like that kind of thing so I definitely won't complain, but it's pretty obvious lol. Maybe without the cherries and mushroom I might have accepted no relation, but. . . It's a definite reference to the Rosalina one too, I'd imagine.

We now have multiple artists doing these pregnancy/stuffing sequences, but somehow none of them seem to remember that Rosalina rules over a society of talking stars that eat a thousand times their own bodyweight and then explode to build things. It feels like the script writes itself, but everyone does the powerup spam instead.

I'm not complaining, mind. I'm just surprised. The force feeding/weight gain/expansion/food inflation is explicitly canon, but none of them use that angle.
