I'm usually a fan of his impregnation / inflation stuff, but lately it seems his fetishes and art style have just gotten so exaggerated and deformed, that it's lost the basics of what made it hot. As someone who usually LIKES the extreme fetishes Kawahagitei includes in his art, his works have always been mid. This entire gallery is one image with some layers slapped over it and walls upon walls of text. His older works had a little more variety but not by much.
Also, his choice to always show ovary bumps through the stomach when a character gets inflated is such a fucking weird call.

I'm good with image variant comics if the writing is good, the expressions are good, and there's enough different base images.

This entire thing is 2 base mages, even the fucking character intro page only changed the arm (notice she's still on tip toes). And there's all these wierd looking images where he just hid the front leg instead of drawing a new angle.

This artist done much better before, so it really is just pure lazy garbage.

While I can understand the negative comments, I personally really like the story text around the images, regardless if there's not a lot it's still fun, I like the extremes, and I love the concept of a story affecting reality, specially if it causes futa~

I think the big complaint with Kawahagitei's stuff that people have, is that back in the day, like the oft-referenced Inran Virus or Succubus Contract, was that there was variety in its structure. It told a story, had characters, more variety in the sexual acts, and slightly less overexaggerated proportions. I still like their art and fetishes, but for the longest time now, it's just been very samey variant sets. One, maybe two different shots, no development or characterization. It's just a big step down.

I blame Fanbox. The old sets were large dlsite projects, each of them took several months to make and probably ended up earning less than a monthly subscription. And when he's gotta pump out 2-3 sets per month there's not much time to do anything other than variants of a single image.

I really wouldn't mind the lack of variety in each set so much if he hadn't gone so off the deep end with exaggerating the fetish elements. The girls in his old stuff had really big tits for sure, but everything he's put out recently has girls that are so deformed that they barely even look human - BEFORE they get inflated with cum. That combined with the weird ovary bumps and his stories increasingly revolving around insane hentai pseudoscience (e.g. shit about the girls being biologically dominated by sperm, or having their eggs physically squeezed out of their ovaries, or whatever other batshit nonsense) has just made his stuff less and less appealing over the years.

You come to an artist who specialize in extreme cumflation and shit on it while there's 95% less extreme stuff that you can read instead. He has been like that for a long time and he clearly enjoys that it adds a comedic aspect. As well I should say, while I like manga format much better, what Kawa does is much better than anyone who just draws a single picture without any story or dialogue and is kept stuck in that loop forever, however, NOBODY complains on them. Kawa draws one picture and expands it into a story, that's my interpretation. Of course, manga would be better, but just single images would be much worse. So, stfu. I'd much prefer that as well other artists spend some time, even a little amount that they are comfortable with, to come up with a story for each image.

His artstyle has become so much better and colors are amazing, look at the nipples.
