That section is for the original title, so this is presumably an English MTL of a Chinese translation(for all I know also an MTL). That would certainly contribute to it being even more garbage than usual.

@ken28 That's because people are cheap and lazy, so they don't want to pay someone to do the work for them nor actually go through the effort of doing an actual translation.

Seriously. There's a good number of us who would be more than happy to do the work. But our priorities lie on projects we get paid for and/or have a great interest in.

@phoenix: You know, in my day, translation groups did translations because they enjoyed doing it and wanted to share stories with everyone, not because they felt they should be paid to do it.

@RileyWalker Note that I also said "have a great interest in". If you want someone to do a project that they aren't currently interested in, then you kinda have to give them a reason to do it.

For example, I translate for free anything that really catches my eye (like the Yankee Girl series that I'm currently working on). And I tend to do that at my own pace, so it might take time depending on what I'm working on. But if someone wants something specific translated and done fairly quickly, I accept commissions.

Yes. I enjoy translating and want to share stories. But if someone wants me to share a specific story that I might not be particularly focused on or interested in, I'd like to get paid to do it.
