This contains all the images from The Art of Zootopia digital book. Unfortunately, while it has all the images, some of the text was lost during conversion into single images. However, there is still a HUGE amount of content listed and plenty of references from Zootopia's first draft; Savage City.

Tell you the truth, I like how the dev ditched out that "collar plot". It was a good plot I agreed, But it would obstruct and obscured such message the movie try to deliver up to this point.

The collar storyline was amazing, but they were also right about their reasoning for dumping it. It's impossible to believe a world that had gone that depressing could recover. A Disney "Happily Ever After" just couldn't be justified.

The collar storyline was idiotic.

I could see what they were trying to do, but it was done so heavy handed that it basically advocated mass murder via social/emotional control.

In my opinion, both versions are excellent stories. It's just one's more profitable than the other. Nick's original plot was from the point of view of the minority while judy's was from the majority and minority at the same time. Her story just works out better for a family film.

However, I would argue, that Nick's original plot portrays what feels like an accurate metaphor for what it can be feel like living as a minority in certain parts of the world.
